Stroke mortality
Prompt diagnosis and correct medical care can save the lives of stroke victims. While some patients have higher risks than others, better processes of care may reduce mortality for heart failure. A lower death rate may indicate that a hospital provides a higher level of patient care.
About this measure
Mortality rate is the statistical measurement of the number of people who die. This measure tracks the percentage of patients who were admitted with a stroke and died.
Note: In this case, a lower number is better.
