Ultrasound testing uses reflected sound waves to create images of the inside of your body. Unlike X-ray or computed tomography (CT), there is no ionizing radiation exposure.

Diagnostic Ultrasound
The Diagnostic Ultrasound department offers ultrasounds of:
- Abdomen
- Aorta
- Gallbladder
- Kidneys
- Liver
- Pancreas
- Spleen
- Musculoskeletal system
- Injured tendons and ligaments, muscles and nerves
- Neck soft tissues
- Pelvis
- Testicles
- Thyroid

OB/GYN Ultrasound
The OB/GYN Ultrasound department offers ultrasounds of:
- Pelvis
- First trimester pregnancy
- Nuchal translucency
- Level I
- Level II
- Fetal growth
OB/GYN Ultrasound services are available at:
- Prentice Women's Hospital (7 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday)
