Postgraduate Administrative Fellowship Program

The Northwestern Memorial Hospital Postgraduate Administrative Fellowship is a two-year program that provides select aspiring healthcare leaders with an unparalleled experience in a premier academic medical center. The Administrative Fellowship is designed to assist individuals in developing skills and attributes necessary for a senior level career in healthcare.

Fellows report directly to Dean M. Harrison, president and chief executive officer of Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, and function as members of the senior management team. They interact with the management team, medical leadership, campus partners and are exposed to all aspects of healthcare operations.

Program Structure
The Administrative Fellowship is a combination of institutionally structured and self directed activities. The first year is spent rotating through core hospital operations followed by an interim management role. The operational rotations are designed to provide a combination of educational and experiential developmental opportunities. Each Fellow will formulate a tailored program to enhance practical management skills, augment his or her formal education and increase professional development opportunities.
