Postgraduate Administrative Fellowship Program

Application Process

The Fellowship is organized as an educational work program. Fellows receive a stipend with benefits identical to those of other hospital employees in addition to an allowance for moving expenses.

Northwestern Memorial Hospital recruits two to three Fellows each year. The program begins in early July. Applications are due on October 15th of the previous year. Candidates must have a master's degree in health services or business administration or an equivalent. Leading applicants are generally interviewed during October and November, with final selections made in December. Incomplete applications will not be considered past the deadline date.

The most promising applicants demonstrate superior academic performance, leadership skills and relevant healthcare experience. Fellows project maturity, professionalism and initiative. They are comfortable in a large, complex organization and passionate about their career aspirations.

Phone Interviews: October and November
On-site Final Round Interview: November 20 - 21
Final Selection: December
Fellowship Start Date: Early July

    • One from a present or past employer
    • One from an academic professor
