Diabetic Foot Ulcer Study

Gastroenterology Studies
Department of Gastroenterology is currently conducting clinical research studies that examine the diverse aspects of gastrointestinal disorders, including Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), and Functional Dyspepsia  (upper abdominal pain and bloating). Current research studies can be found at the Center for Psychosocial Research in GI, Northwestern Center for Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders, the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center, and the Intestinal Rehabilitation & Transplant Center.

Genetics Research
Genetics is revolutionizing how medicine is practiced. You can contribute to this very exciting research in genetic medicine. The Center for Genetic Medicine at the Feinberg School of Medicine is collaborating with Northwestern-affiliated healthcare providers to establish a bank of DNA samples and associated health information. The study is called the NUgene Project. This resource will be used by university and worldwide researchers to facilitate research on genetics of common diseases and how to improve treatments.

HIV/AIDS Studies
The Division of Infectious Diseases at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University, conduct HIV clinical trials sponsored by the Adult AIDS Clinical Trials Group (AACTG), pharmaceutical companies, and faculty physician researchers.
