Community Services

The vitality of Chicago's civic life owes much to the diverse neighborhoods and communities that enrich the city. As federal, state and local resources are reduced, the commitment of Northwestern Memorial to meet the healthcare needs of these communities increases. Northwestern Memorial works in partnership with the Near North Health Service Corporation (which includes the Winfield Moody, Louise Landau, Komed Holman and Cottage View Health Centers) as well as other community medical services such as the Erie Family Health Center and the Lawson House YMCA. Hospital physicians consult and practice on site and refer patients to other hospital specialists. Northwestern Memorial seeks to expand these and other efforts to reach out to Chicago's underserved communities, extending to those most in need the same high-quality medical and educational resources that have earned it national recognition.
