More than 110 physicians at Northwestern Memorial now provide comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for all types of cancer and benign hematogical disorders. Our affiliation with the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University (the only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive center in Illinois) ensures patients and their families have access to the very latest diagnostic and treatment advances. Other specialized efforts include the internationally recognized Lynn Sage Comprehensive Breast Center, supporting state-of-the-art patient care and research, the Pancreatic Oncology Program, the Multiple Myeloma Program and our innovative Stem Cell Transplant Program. More than 350 active clinical trials in cancer are under way at Northwestern Memorial, including trials to test the next generation of cancer treatments such as vaccines, monoclonal antibodies and anti-angiogenesis drugs.
