Northwestern Memorial's medical staff includes more than 1,200 affiliated physicians, psychologists and dentists. Our diverse medical staff hold clinical faculty appointments at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and devote substantial time to formal teaching, consultation rounds and are involved in more than 800 clinical research studies.
Ninety-eight percent (98%) of our physicians are board certified and many also hold prestigious leadership roles in international, national and local organizations such as the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the International Medical Society, the National Board of Medical Examiners, the American Medical Association and the Illinois State Medical Society. In addition, many of our physicians sit on the editorial boards of some of the leading medical journals, and also serve on several physician specialty certification boards.
As a teaching hospital and a member of the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University, Northwestern Memorial participates in training more than 800 medical residents, fellows and medical students each year.
