To Be a Nurse follows the history of nursing education at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and its predecessor institutions. Beautifully produced in soft-cover oversize format with dozens of photos from Northwestern Memorial's archives and an index of alumni class lists, To Be a Nurse is a wonderful addition to any alumna's library. Copies are available for $18.95 and can be ordered directly from the Service League.

Students wishing to replace lost, stolen or damaged school pins should contact the Service League for authorization and replacement information.
The Service League of Northwestern Memorial Hospital
Founded in 1972, the Service League's board of directors and loyal members provide funds to support patient-focused projects, including the Patient/Family Assistance Fund, the Expressive Arts Therapy Program, the Stone Institute of Psychiatry Outpatient Housing Program, the Near North Health Service Corporation, the Layette Program, Emergency Room Assistance through Case Management and the Advancement of Nursing Education. As part of their service to Northwestern Memorial they also coordinate educational and social programs, distinguished alumni awards, class reunions and related programs for Nursing School Alumni.
