The Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute is named in recognition of Neil G. Bluhm, whose generous financial contribution led to the creation and expansion of the heart and vascular programs at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
Under the co-directorship of Robert O. Bonow, MD, chief of the Division of Cardiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Patrick M. McCarthy, MD, chief of the Division of Cardiothoracic surgery at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute is comprised of six centers:
