Quick Scan
The Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute provides low-cost screening for vascular disease. Peripheral arterial disease is a significant predictor of coronary artery disease and/or stroke. Using ultrasound, Quick Scan will detect:
- Blocked carotid arteries (risk for stroke)
- Abdominal aortic aneurysms (weakening of the main blood vessel of the body)
- The presence of blocked arteries in the legs
- High blood pressure
The cost of the test is $162.00 and may not be covered by insurance.
